Hi Catherine from Switzerland,

We lived along the lake from you in Vevey between 1997 and 2000. We remember how pretty your town is and took the steamboat from Nyon to Yvoire many times! Summer is a lovely time in your area – we enjoyed the fêtes and celebrations of the towns and villages so much that we had to find a village in the UK with a good sense of community when we came back. Parwich and Swiss villages have much in common! We wish you well with your blogsite.

What a lovely reminder of our beautiful Parwich Gardens. It doesn’t matter how often you go round them there seems to be something new to see each year ( and plenty of good ideas to borrow) Thanks for the lovely pics Kevin – I am surprised that you managed to keep the camera steady and in focus with all the liquid refreshment that people ‘forced’ on you! Thanks of course to all the lovely gardeners for sharing their gardens with us.

Hello from Switzerland,

What wonderful photos and what a lovely community you seem to be living in! If I wasn’t living here in Nyon, I reckon Parwich would be a very good place to be.

Your site sort of inspired me to create my own blogsite for the town I live in, mine isn’t really community run, it’s just me, but there are some similarities. There is also a scarecrow festival in one of the villages here too, so
I will go and take photos next time its on.
