Last night 17 of us braved the rain for the first of our new circuit training sessions at the Memorial Hall. The session was lead by Mark a local Ashbourne lad who has recently left the army (1 Para) so we were in very good hands.
I don’t know if any of us knew what to expect but it turned out to be a great session. There were roughly 50/50 girls to boys and a cross section of ages from 17 to 60 so it covered all abilities. No one was made to feel uncomfortable about their level of fitness, and all the exercises were explained before and during the session.
Mark hopes to change the session time so they start after 6 oclock to allow people time after work to get there, details will be on the Blog.
If you are thinking of coming to the training sessions, come along, there’s no pressure, you work at your own pace and you might do yourself a bit of good.
I agree with Ben. It’s great to have this session especially in the winter when it’s hard to get out training in the evenings. There was a real cross section of people, and everyone seemed to find their own pace. Mark said it was the best turnout of any of the local villages he’s done sessions at, and how good our new Hall is!
