Broadband Options

Not happy with your broadband speeds now the Parwich exchange is fibre optic enabled, then read this important information from Parwich Parish Council. Those in Alsop may be especially interested!

Broadband in Parwich

Digital Derbyshire would like residents to know that a fibre enabled cabinet is now operational in Parwich. For those who can still not get better than a 2Mbps connection the links in the letter will take you to further information on applying for a subsidy to get a satellite or wireless based internet connection.

Bank Holiday bin collections

All waste and recycling collections in the Derbyshire Dales will be one day later than usual next week because of Bank Holiday Monday (29 August).

This means collections next week will include a Saturday collection (on 3 September) for usual Friday rounds.

Use our online postcode search to see which containers to put out – and to download a collection calendar.

For us here in Parwich, Alsop, etc this means our grey general waste bin and food caddy collections will be on Thursday this week Click here to check your Derbyshire Dales bin collection days.

I would like to thank Liz & John H, Gill & Peter S, Mary R and Val & John K for all their help and for staying with me until the ambulance came when I broke my ankle. Thank you also to the Parwich Ladies Group for the lovely flowers.  I am now progressing well and hope to be home soon.
