I would like to use this opportunity to clarify a query that some local residents may have. I have visitors staying in my S/C cottage who arrived last Sunday who had booked the cottage for one week. After initially agreeing that they would leave early this morning (they live not far away in Derbyshire), the following snippet from the Gov.uk website was passed on to me: “….those currently on a domestic holiday will be allowed to finish their holidays, but are still subject to the requirements in England not to go out without a reasonable excuse”. This means that they will now be staying for the full week. I am aware that this may also be the situation at some other S/C cottages.
