If you don’t know already, the bid for the new Memorial Hall (community hall) build is through to the final stage. We have received a grant of £23,350 towards drawing up the actual plans, getting planning permission and completing the final form. Having given us this money, if we can get our final bid right, the Big Lottery Fund must think we are in with a good chance for the rest of the £500,000.
We will have to provide some matched funding so if you have any ideas let the Committee or your User Group Rep know. This matched funding can be ‘in kind’ and we would like to hear from anyone with skills or materials that might be relevant.
