One might be tempted to say that the Ashbourne News Telegraph is on the up with a very good edition this week, that is if it were not for the paupacy of news from Alsop, Ballidon, Parwich and Pikehall. However here are some features that might interest our readers:
p.1 £1m upgrade for QEGS’ sixth-form facilities at Boothby Meadows announced
p.2 More on the Ashbourne big cat saga, though this time the more grisly news of a foal killed at Kniveton
p.4 Comment section reports a slight drop in accidents on the A515 (perhaps the reduction in the speed limit was not such a bad thing after all).
p. 28 & 29, and 56 Report on the World Toe Wrestling Championship at the Bentley Brook Inn
p. 55 Summer Football results
As always let us know what we have missed.

p.6 features the cyberscouts that meet in Ashbourne and 4 children from the village are in the photo’s (3 are my little angels)
If the village ever comes under attack its comforting to know how scarey Charlotte and Kirsten look with a gun in their hands….. (they were only laser guns just in case you wondered!!)
My kids really enjoy cyberscouts and I enjoy the peace and quiet for 5 hours on a Saturday every month!!
