OK, so this is a long shot – but does anyone has a vinyl or cassette copy of the album Val Doonican Rocks, But Gently lurking in their attics? Although long since deleted (and unavailable on CD), this album not only topped the charts in early 1968, but it even knocked The Beatles’ classic Sergeant Pepper from the Number One position – proving that you should never underestimate the power of a crooner in a cardigan !
