If the ‘movers and shakers’ of Alsop, Ballidon, Pikehall and Parwich were away last week they must be on a fortnight’s holidays. It was particularly hard to find any local links in this week’s Ashbourne News Telegraph 3rd Sept 2008, not even a photo of Debbie. I found only one specific mention, though thank you Patti for pointing out the one that was missed (I had thought it odd there was nothing on the Snail Trail):
- p.5 Ashbourne 50+ Forumhave various speakers giving information about the planned new Ashbourne Hospital at the Ashbourne Leisure Centre from 10am to 12-30pm on Friday 12th September. Anyone needing help to get to the event phone 01629 532 446 no later than tomorrow, or email christine.hopkins@derbyshire.gov.uk.

(Postponed because of bad weather.)

Hi Pheadair – you seem to have missed the Out and About feature on page 25 featuring Parwich Snail Trail Sale – there is also a bit of editorial. Perhaps you would like to add it to your review of the paper?
