ASHBOURNE FAMILY FUN NIGHT
The Ashbourne Churches Together Carol Singers numbered about 40 last year – we would like to double that number this year, so bring a friend. You don’t have to be a good singer – just happy to sing! We gather at the top of the Market Place at 6.30pm for a quick rehearsal before the Lantern Parade joins us. The parade leaves from their starting point, School Lane, at the same time – 6.30pm.
LIVE NATIVITY PRESENTATION – Watch or Dress up and join in
At 7.30pm there will be a ‘live Nativity’ presentation on Church Street during the late night shopping . From 11am on the 12th, it will be possible to visit the animals at the rear of Marion Antiques, 23 Church Street. You can also –
– Visit Santa’s Grotto at £2.50 per visit including a gift
– Enjoy refreshments for £1 – drink plus home baking
Local businesses and the community are generously contributing prizes, costumes etc for the live nativity. Children who come at 7.15pm to Winfield, Rose & Wood dentists on Church Street, dressed as shepherds and angels, will be able to take part in the presentation. There should even be a donkey for Mary to ride on!
