Derbyshire Police are appealing for volunteers to help train new Special Constables. They are trained initially for 7 weeks at Force Headquarters, Ripley at the week-ends. Throughout, they are assessed through a series of practical policing exercises, and we require people to assist in acting out of these scenarios. Including public order offences, first aid, traffic offences and others. No previous acting experience is necessary but volunteers need to be available on certain weekends during part of the day. We are arranging an open evening at Force Headquarters Training School on Thursday 22nd January from 7.30pm. till approx. 8.30. Light refreshments will be provided.
