Many thanks to Claire for a brilliant talk on her extreme marathon experience on Everest. Claire had taken a lot of time and trouble to entertain and educate us on Nepal and its people. She also gave us a great insight into the mind of the endurance runner. Awesome photos….and cool music too!
Thanks also to the WI for letting us blokes benefit from the presentation. Your hospitality was wonderful!
Thanks Mike, always great fun to be in Parwich and I’m glad you enjoyed the talk (and the music!).
I agree with the Mike, the WI hospitality was wonderful and I particularly enjoyed the chocolate cake (best I’ve ever tasted).
The speaker’s fee will be donated to the Everest Marathon Fund benefitting health and education projects in rural Nepal, so thanks to the WI for their support of such a worthwhile charity.
