A comment on our site has warned us that on 30 May at around 11am, the roads through the village will be closed for a short while whilst Bike Radar Live comes cycling through. BikeRadar Live is is a mass-participation cycling event which will take place on the weekend of 30–31 May 2009 at Donington Park. One of the events is a bike race through the Peak District passing through Parwich.
The event at Donnington Park lasts all weekend and is packed full of races and challenges, with something for everyone, whether you want to compete, watch your friends and family or just check out some of the world’s best riders. There will be stunt displays, dirt jump and dual slalom, a cycling film festival as well as live big top entertainment.
