Derbyshire police have received a number of reports over the past few days of people visiting residents, offering goods for sale such as household goods, pressure washers, tarmac, etc., and males in hi-viz jackets looking for scrap and going through storage drums at business premises.

Please make a note of the registration numbers of suspicious vehicles and call the police at the time of the incident on 0345 123 33 33. Door to door callers must hold a Pedlars Certificate. Always obtain several written quotes before agreeing that work can be carried out at your property.
