Recently someone had an email to parwich@hotmail.co.uk bounced with an error message, saying the email address was not valid. They contacted a member of the blog team directly, and we suggested they try sending it again. The second time it came through OK. This may have been an isolated incident, but do let us know if anyone else has had problems. You can do this either by adding a comment below or speaking to one of the team (Mike A, Jane B, Lynne G, Mike H, Emma S or Peter T).
When emailing the hotmail account, if you do not hear back from us within a few days, either on the blog or directly, please contact one of the team in person.

I think most people understand that email isn’t a 100% reliable method of communication by its very nature. It’s good, but it still isn’t perfect. As with all methods of communication, it has its drawbacks.
Following up if you havent heard is one way of verification, also MS Outlook offers “message delivery/tracking” and “read receipt” options, but even that isn’t 100% reliable in my experience.
Actually, blog comments are probably the most reliable – as you can see whether its posted or not.
However, there have been times when I wish there was a recall comment option :o)
Dear Parwich
I must say I have not herd of your village but then there must be meny villages with in the united kingdom which I have not herd of. I do have friends in Derbyshire who have moved to your county. I live in London a large matroplice. Having made that statment I live in the cuntry all be it nine miles from hide park corner. I live in Osterley Park close to the M4, so close that in 1967 we closd our windows to the noise of the traffic to this day. I live in a lodge that backs onto the M4. My garden looks over a field with a pond in it with some interesting bird life. In my garden I have regular visits from Mr. Fox and a stray cat which has had a fight with my cat reasulting in a damaged ear which he will not leave alone!! I rise about 6.15 in the morning to take a rather large dog for a walk after having a cup of tea. She is about eight stone (50Kg) Her favrite chalange is to see if she can catch a Squrial. At seven years old she has not quite managed it yet !! Your county looks fantastic but it is un likeley I will ever manage to visit you up there. I do have a small bungalow in the Isle of Man which I visit each year and dream of moving over to some time permanantley. I am a retred person so have to budget for all holidays now.I do hope you manage to keep you local church open as we see more and more churches closing in London with congrigations getting smaller and smaller.
