Places are still available on the Over 60’s trip to Lincoln on Tuesday 9th June. Everyone is welcome and tickets for non-members are £10. The bus leaves The Green at 8am and there will be plenty of time to explore Lincoln.
This fascinating city is a mix of Roman, Norman and Medieval. With the modern shops at the bottom of the city, there is a delightful ‘walk’ up Steep Hill to the olde shops, full of characters & charm. The top of the hill is dominated by the Norman Castle and the magnificent Cathedral. The Cathedral is holding an exhibition linked to the recently released film “Young Victoria” in which Lincoln Cathedral was the location for the coronation scenes. It includes the replica Edward I Coronation Chair made for the film. To reserve a place ring Alan on 279
