This week’s Stunner, available in the Sycamore or online contains the following stories of local interest:
p.3: Broken Leg Biker – a biker suffered a broken leg after he was involved in a collision with a car on the B5056 between Parwich and Fenny Bentley on Friday afternoon (that stretch of road is currently closed due to landslip).
p.7: In a plastercast and I need help – an article by Debbie Webster mentioning that the top joint of her left hand was recently broken in a parents vs kids rounders match in Parwich.
p.20: Village welcomes visitors: – some of the best gardens in Parwich will be opened this Sunday to the public for Open Gardens Day.

Just to point out that although I did ‘mention’ that I was in a cast, the point of the article was to encourage people to volunteer to help isolated members in the Derbyshire Dales community through driving, helping with shopping, etc. I have been blessed with many offers of help, others are not so lucky.
Sorry Debbie, you’re right – I kind of missed out the key message of the article in my excitment at the mention of the kids v parents rounders match!
