Come on Parwich.org, aren’t there spell checking progammes these days?!
Yuss, I fort their woz onley one “N” in CARNAL….???
As we were operating from a scan of a photocopy we could not make any corrections. However it should be pointed out that in the original CARNIVAL is correctly spelt. Unfortunately the loss of quality due to the double copying has made the ‘IV’ look like an extra ‘N’.
I thought the Pedant was referring to the missing R rather than suggesting Wakes may be carnal!
