While we are away on our summer holiday, my sister and her two kids will be having their summer holiday at our house. Her kids are 18 months and 3 and a half years old. As we arrived here when our kids were a bit older than that, I don’t know all the best local places to take small children. Carsington and Chatsworth are the two obvious ones I can think of but does anyone have some more suggestions? Other ideas are welcome too – for example, good places to take kids to eat. Thank you, Lynne.

Here is the link to our list of kids activities websites http://www.parwichvillage.co.uk/where-to-go.htm#Kids, though obviously a lot are aimed at older kids.
For those wet weather days – the Playmill at Bonsall, Chucklebutties in Belper.
Markeaton Park has boats and donkeys and lots of kiddie things. Tittesworth reservoir is similar to Carsington but bigger playground. Bakewell Show, if it’s sunny and if the dates are right! Blackbrook Zoological Park – on the way to Leek. Tell you what, I’ll let you have my file!
Me and my partner are going to Parwich for the bank holiday weekend, can any one suggest places to visit, pubs, and restaurants to go to ?
thank you!
