p1. Fury over town centre parking. Be warned, enforcement tickets have been placed on cars, despite them having paid £1, because drivers have not been parking in marked bays in the Market Place and using the triangular cobbled area by the road.
p2. Landslip forces lengthy road closure. Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member stated “We’re working hard to resolve this problem and re-open the road as soon as we possibly can so we hope motorists will bear with us while this important work takes place”. Plans to rebuild the road are being drawn up, with repairs expected to take place early next year!!
p2. Mobile speed cameras will be situated on the A52 at Shirley Hollow this week.
p5. Thrills, spills and fun for all at 2009 show with a record attendance of more than 9,000.
p6. Google car is touring town. The controversial Street View Service could be coming to Parwich, comments were left on parwich.org stating that the car was seen circling the narrow lanes. A Google spokesman was unable to comment at this stage.
p7. On your Marks, get set, go… Marks & Spencer Simply Food & Coffee Shop open on Thursday. It’ll be open daily, Mon-Sat – 9am-8pm and Sunday’s 11am-5pm. Parking is free here and a shuttle bus runs into town every 30 minutes.
