p.9 ‘Village welcomes new show” – for those of you who missed out on showing your produce in the village horticultural show this year, Tissington is holding a village show on 26 September open to anyone living with seven miles of the village. There are home produce, horticultural, handiscraft and children’s sections which can be entered. Fuller information can be found in the Ashbourne News Telegraph.
p.10 ‘Farmers discuss caring for cows’ – Dairy farmers from across the region gathered at a farm in Alsop en le Dale for a talk on caring for cows in their dry period.
p.10 ‘Popular festival has online revamp’ – an article on the Wirksworth festival which now has its own website at www.wirksworthfestival.co.uk. Although it is not mentioned in the Stunner article, we understand that Lewis Noble is exhibiting his work at the festival and that the A52s are also playing there on Sunday.
