Page 1. “Show support for our troops.” Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion Merican Regiment will parade through Ashbourne on Thursday, March 18, to mark their recent presentation of freedom of the district.
Page 4. “Doctor of Artificial Intelligence is also a five parish vicar.” A report, with accompanying photo, on Rev Andy Larkin’s recent induction service.
Page 5. “Jobs boost after holiday park revamp.” Ashbourne Heights Park in Fenny Bentley is the subject of a £2.5 million makeover. When completed, the park will offer 33 holiday lodges for sale or for rent.
Page 7. “Beware of scam e-mails promising tax repayment.” HM Revenue and Customs say fraudsters have been sending out e-mails telling recipients that they are due a tax refund, and directing them to an online form.
Page 26. “Enjoy music for free by donating time.” Debbie Webster’s regular column highlights opportunities for volunteer work at several forthcoming music events, including the annual Y-Not Festival at Pikehall.
Page 30. At 11am tomorrow (Thursday) at the Bluebell in Tissington, there’s a DairyCo meeting for Derbyshire and Staffordshire farmers, entitled “Accessing Grant Funds”. Lunch will be provided.
