You can buy the Ashbourne News Telegraph in the Sycamore or read it online. It includes the following stories:
Mr Ashbourne’s fall from Grace – the paper contains a few stories about John Hanson, the former Royal Shrovetide secretary accused of fiddling the some £20,000 from the Shrovetide funds.
Waitrose opens tomorrow: being opened by the mayor of Ashbourne, Caroline Cooper.
The good and bad of Google – as well as a “comment” article, there is a double page spread of photos of Ashbourne from Google street view. What do you think? Is this an invasion of our privacy? Will it cause us problems? Comments please!
Clear out your attics: as the BBC show “Flog It” is coming to Ashbourne on Saturday April 10th and will be valuing antiques and collectibles at QEGs from 9.30am until 4pm.
West End show will come to life: Stagecoach Uttoxeter brings the West End musical Annie to life with a cast of youngsters performing at the Abbotsholme Theatre, Rocester, next weekend. One of the little orphans in the photo is from Parwich (easy enough for me to spot…).
