Now that we no longer have the fish and chip van visiting the village, I wondered if fellow villagers would be interested in to know that Ye Olde Gate pub at Brassington is now providing a takeaway fish, chips and mushy peas service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30-8.30.
The price is £5.95 for a medium fish, or £6.75 for a large fish.
Some of you may also be interested to know that some of the draft lagers and beers are discounted between 6.00 and 7.30!
