On Tuesday of this week (22nd) our 19th century bell in the Church is being removed for renovation work. The fixings of the bell have become worn out, and the bell was in danger of falling on our heads! We would like to thank all of you who have supported the Church through our concerts and other events; this has enabled us to raise the necessary £4000+ to have the repair work done.
Do come along on Tuesday morning from 10am onwards to see how it is going to be removed from the tower, with ropes and pulleys and two willing parishioners, and wave to it on its way to a Leicester bell foundry.
