We have received the following message:
I would be grateful if you could put a message on the blog for me. I have managed to lose a pair of black ballet shoes and key by leaving them on top of the car and driving away from home without realising. This happened at 4.30pm this afternoon. When I returned about 6.30pm they were nowhere to be seen en route. I am hoping that some kind soul has spotted them and picked them up. Shoes needed for exam next week!
If you are that kind soul please let The Blog Team know at parwich@hotmail.co.uk and we’ll pass the message on.

I hope you get back your ‘lost’things. You are not alone in driving off with things on the roof of your car….my husband once drove off from a hotel car park with his very expensive glasses on the roof. Despite phoning they couldn’t find any trace of them. Nine months later we phoned again to book a room only to find that they were about to phone us as the glasses had turned up when the grass was being mown that morning!
Oh, and I once drove off with our cat clinging to the roof. I couldn’t underside why people at the pub were shouting and pointing until I slowed down to talk to them and the cat jumped off and ran for home like the proverbial scalded cat!
In a similar vein, I once strapped Jack into his baby car seat but failed to strap the car seat into the car so, when I took a corner at speed, he did a full 360 roll from one side of the car to the other. I was near hysterical with parental guilt but he didn’t even wake up.
The ballet shoes have been found and returned, but please keep looking out for the keys.
