Two good wins this week.
Tuesday league
24 May – Away – Wirksworth:
The green at Wirksworth is probably the biggest in the league and is very difficult to play on, however, we had one of our best wins against them this week. We managed to win three games to their one giving us an overall score of 80 to 66. This has put us up to third in the league.
Next match 31 May – Home – Bakewell.
Thursday Friendly league
26 May – Away – Matlock Park:
Following on from the great win last week against Tideswell we kept up our winning ways with a win in the Park. We were short of players because of holidays but we won the doubles games and did really well in the singles. The overall score was 126 to Parwich 110 to Matlock. We had managed to climb a couple of places following last weeks win so this result could move us up another place, although we are still in the bottom half of the league.
Next match 2 June – Home – Whitworth Park.
The friendly match against Ashbourne Park was very enjoyable. They are a nice bunch of people. We are having another friendly this Sunday against the other Ashbourne club at home this week. The informal game starts around 2.00pm
Don’t forget Monday nights 6.30.
