We have received the following message from Jane B and Glynis D:
An enormous thank you to everyone involved in decorating the Church ready for Christmas. Yesterday 16 people turned up during the day to help arrange foliage on pillars, create arrangements in the porch, on windows and other surfaces, dressing the tree, arranging the crib and cleaning up the Church at the end of the afternoon. Hot drinks, sausage rolls and cakes kept everyone’s energy levels up and Christmas carols echoed through St Peter’s. Work towards the decoration of the Church has gone on all week; on Tuesday and Wednesday we raided numerous gardens, gathering masses of foliage, so thank you to those who welcomed us with our secateurs; 12 pew ends have been beautifully decorated and on Thursday three ladies came in to dress their windows and the school have been working together on creating a lovely eco-tree. Finally thank you to those who very generously donated money, which enabled us to buy flowers for some of the displays.
If you are around on Tuesday 8th January, from 11am, we will be taking all the decorations and arrangements down and help is always appreciated.
