Recently there was an incident where a stranger was seen behaving suspiciously in a Parwich drive and who gave a good impression of making up excuses when challenged. At risk of type casting, it involved a scruffily dressed middle aged man in rusty white van, showing an inappropriate interest in a garage housing building tools.
Also the Police have been making enquiries locally about a person/people aparantly selling mattresses from a white van.

I encountered this character on Friday afternoon, he attempted to sell me a mattress but my suspicions were immediately aroused by his furtive manner and unconvincing sales pitch. I told him that I was not one for making impulsive purchases and was not totally convinced of the quality of the mattress and therefore I would have to sleep on it before making a commitment to purchase.
