Does anyone have an apple press that I could borrow? I have a glut of windfalls and fancy having a go at turning some into apple juice.

I took a bucketful of apples to the Cromford Appleday, nr. Scarthin bookshop, a couple of years ago. There were several presses on the go. You’ve missed this year’s Cromford Apple Day, which was on the 15th of October. I think you can hire a press from Scarthin Bookshop.
I don’t have an apple press myself, but would be interested in jointly investing in one for village use if there were enough people to make it worthwhile! Parwich 440.
An apple press would solve our annual problem of what to do with all those apples!
