Parwich First Responders spent the weekend re-training and qualifying to act as what is now called “First Person On Scene”. Current Responders were required to undertake this 2 day course in order to attain a new national standard. As Chair of PFR I want to publicly thank our group for giving up yet another weekend in their busy lives. Everyone has already spent at least two weekends for initial training and we continue that commitment by practising skills every 2 months and going on the rota each week to provide emergency cover for Parwich and surrounding area.So a HUGE “thank you and well done” to Martin, Ben, Ed, Patti and Helen. Thanks also go to Sally and Margaret who were unable to attend on Saturday but who hope to complete their new qualification at the next opportunity. The time you all give never fails to amaze me.Even better is the fact that we are lucky to have two new recruits: Debbie and Angela qualified to respond with us. Congratulations on passing and welcome to the group! Finally, just a reminder that in the event of any medical emergency the number to dial is 999. If a Responder is on duty and a call out is appropriate then the control desk will dispatch one of us.Sue H
