Janet is definitely going ahead with a small shop in the Sycamore Inn, and will be opening on Easter Saturday. So we can go and get our fresh milk and bread then.
Easter Opening
Saturday 22nd March to Monday 24th March
10am to 9pm
Opening times for next week are still to be confirmed.

Well done Janet, this will certainly be a life line. A shame you are not doing News Paper.
Janet is doing the Derby Evening Telegraph each day, the Ashbourne Telegraph each week and has the Peak Advertiser each fortnight. Use the new shop and who knows what might happen.
Which reminds me: if anyone has details of a newspaper delivery service, could they please e-mail us on parwich@hotmail.co.uk, so that we can share the information. Thanks!
Saw the new shop last night for the first time and was very impressed at the range of stock. Looks like all is not lost with the sad demise of the previous incarnation!
Does the village not have a milk lady that delivers fresh milk most mornings to the door as well it is out of a bottle that gets used over and over again
Once again, if someone could e-mail us with a contact phone number for milk delivery, then we would be pleased to add it to our “Directory of Services” page. Thanks!
One more useful piece of info re. newspapers: the garage at Newhaven stocks the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mirror, as well as the Ashbourne News Telegraph. I think that this makes them our nearest retail source for national papers. (9 minutes’ drive from the centre of the village – we timed it!)
Milk deliveries are from J F Gibson, Bostern Grange Farm, Thorpe, Nr Ashbourne, tel. 01335 310250
The news agent delivering to Parwich is:
MSR Newsgroup Ashbourne
25 Compton St
Ashbourne
tel. 01335 343943
This and the milkman’s contact are now in the Directory
