Remember that our shop is open all day today, until 9pm. Also don’t let’s forget that if it wasn’t for Janet stepping in we wouldn’t have this amazing resource, nor should we underestimate the amount of extra work that she now has to do on top running the pub.
So let’s support the shop to ensure that it stays and we should remember to thank Janet to show our on-going appreciation for providing the community with this valuable resource.

Great thanks to Janet for stepping in to save the situation. We are so lucky to still have a shop in Parwich and this coffee party is a chance to enjoy ourselves while saying a big thank you.
I promised Janet I’d make some cakes but I have a feeling we may need a lot! We’ve had several promises already but any more offers of a cake or biscuits will be much appreciated.

Graham, I’m assuming Amanda has taught you how to make a cake, after her triumph?
It’s a shame we don’t have little emotion symbols on comments, this would definitely have a mildly indignant expression attached – as one of the few lessons I recall from my excellent education at New Mills comprehensive was how to make a Swiss Roll (and I don’t mean pushing a poor resident of Geneva down the hill backward!). I reckon that, and Newton’s 3 Laws of motion, are more than enough to guide one seamlessly through life.
