Parwich Primary School
News 31 16 May 2008
School has been a hive of activity this week! Year 2 and Key Stage 2 have completed their SAT’s tests, School Council have held their first meeting and begun plans for the coming term, Mr Wheatley has visited Year 5 and 6 and PTA have held their summer term meeting in preparation for the coming term.
All the entries have been collected and will be displayed in school from Wednesday 21st May until Monday 16th June. Everyone is invited to view the logos and choose their favourite with a discreet sticker system. The winning design will be announced in assembly on Friday 20th June – Good luck!

Mufty Day/End of Term Assembly
Friday 23rd May is Mufty Day (Non-uniform day) – more information is available on the School Council letter. End of term assembly is Friday 23rd May starting at 9am, after which parents are invited to stay for coffee and biscuits.
We would like to start a Gardening Club, meeting once a month to tidy the gardens and borders. Children and adults are welcome to come along and muck in! Any offers of help will be gratefully received.
Parents have made offers of help with reading in the morning between 8.45 and 9.00am, if you are interested in helping please pop into school.

Cricket
Clifton Cricket Club will be staging a Kwik Cricket Festival on 26th May, for local primary schools. Teams of eight are eligible to enter however if you are unable to enter a full team then teams may be made up on the day. The aim of the day is to encourage family involvement, so parents are welcome to come along to umpire and score. The day begins at 1pm and should finish around 6pm – anyone interested please see Mrs Rodgers for more details.

Are the new logo entries in electronic form? Could they be put on PARWICH.ORG, or is it better for people to see them in the School first?

The new school logo will be in electronic form once we have scanned and commissioned its production. The designs are now displayed in the middle classroom and people are invited to come into school and vote for their favourite.
