The planning application for the proposed new Memorial Hall should be considered by the Planning Committee on Friday 15th August. Details of the Planning Officers’ report and the agenda for this meeting should be available about a week in advance at the Peak District National Park Authority website, though there appears to be some confusion in that Members of the Authority have been told that it is to be decided on delegated authority by the Officers, and the Authority’s Democratic Services says it is to go to Committee.
Following submission of the planning application, discussion with local people and with the Planning Service has resulted in some modifications to the external appearance of the proposed new Memorial Hall.
