2008 Derbyshire Dales Sports Awards

Following the success of the last two years’ Sports Awards, we are pleased that details of the 2008 event have now been unveiled. This is an important opportunity to celebrate people across the Derbyshire Dales who have made a significant contribution to sport in a variety of ways whether as a player, coach or volunteer.  We would like to find these people and reward them for their contribution to sport.

There are two documents which can be downloaded, one detailing the criteria for nominations, including the 14 different categories that can be nominated, the second is the actual nomination form which can be used to provide information on you and the person, team or club you are nominating, telling us why you think they should be honoured.

The Derbyshire Dales Sports Awards feed into the Derbyshire Sport Awards and the winners at the district level will automatically be entered into the County competition. The winners from the County Awards will then be considered at the East Midlands Sports Awards.

The closing date for all nominations has been extended to Tuesday 26th August 2008 – they would really like to see some more nominations coming in.

A presentation evening will be arranged in the Autumn to celebrate the Awards and winners
