Spare a thought for those that have been working incredibly hard on our behalf to complete the Big Lottery Fund bid for the Memorial Hall project. The deadline is on Tuesday, and various people (including Amanda, Brian, Kevin, Lynette, Mike and Val, as well as lots of others) have put in and are still putting in a lot of hours to ensure the bid is as good as it can be.
Your commitment to this community venture is much appreciated. Also it is good to see that Graham and Amanda can still smile despite their computer blowing up this afternoon taking a section of the bid with it. Amanda with remarkable calm said, “Oh, it will be alright, we should only have to redo a couple of hours work“.

It’s a relief to have it finished- tempers were fraying, smiles were turning to grimaces, acholol was no longer having any effect and one or two of us are thinking of citing the Memorial Hall as co-respondants in the divorce courts!
Seriously – a fantastic village effort with loads of people contributing in some way or other. All we have to do now is wait until September – and raise lots of money!
