The rest of the Blog Team would like to congratulate Christopher and give our very best wishes to him and his family. Not only are we losing a repected vicar, but also a valued member of the Blog Team, though our loss is Nottingham City Centre Church Group‘s gain:

Hey now the three churches are some serious kit, St Mary’s, St Peters and All Saints. Now maybe they want a new Treasurer too if so may I apply. Christopher and his family have been such good neighbours and so comforting at some personal losses we have had. So congratulations and lucky Nottingham, Missing you at the thought of it already. Stuart and Rosy and Tom of course too.
Christopher you have been such a welcome addition to this village and we will really miss you. You are lucky to be going to those lovely churches – we had the good fortune to know one their previous incumbents who left behind a good legacy of a committed and lively congregation and Nottingham is such a great city. I am sure you will have a large contribution to make. We wish you, Isobel and the family all the best. The Beasley family.
Christopher, congratulations on the new preferment. I hope Nottingham will appreciate all they are gaining with your appointment: a jazz pianist, a lively and enquiring mind, visits from Indian singers and dancers, a sense of tradition with a strong commitment to meeting the needs of today’s communities, a real faith rooted in respect for others, and much more.
Christopher, congratulations on this move. The village (and the Tennis Club!) will miss you. Just when Graham and I were getting to know you too! All the very best to you and your family. A and G.
