A new farm shop has opened at The George in Alstonefield. The shop is behind the pub, accessed through the car park.
The farm shop specialises in organic, seasonal and local produce including: vegetables from a local market gardener, organic beef and lamb from Lower Hurst Farm, fresh milk butter and cheese from Peak District Dairy. In addition, chefs from the pub’s kitchen prepare freshly baked bread, cakes and savouries. The philosophy behind the shop is to only use suppliers who share a passion for really good food.
Opening times are Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm (closed Mondays). For more details contact The George on 01335 310205.
