Dear blog readers,
As many of you know, we have been blogging for nearly a year now. We went “live” to the world at large in March 2008. We tend to get about 10,000 to 15,000 hits a month with a high of 20,671 hits in December last year (when Tom Chambers was dancing his socks off). We know who some of our readers are as we have comments posted on the site by people both in and outside our catchment area of Parwich, Alsop, Ballidon and Pikehall. But we would like to know more about our readers, who and where they are and what they do and don’t like on the blog.
So please let us know: Who are you and how did you find us? How often do you tend to log on and what do you like to see on the blog? What do you find the most useful, fun, interesting? What don’t you like or find useful or interesting? Where are you? Are you in our catchment area? Just outside? On the other side of the world? If you are far away from Parwich, do you have any friends of family in the village, now or in the past or some other connection with the village? Do you come here for holidays? Could you be our oldest reader or our youngest reader? Could you be our furthest away reader?
We are looking forward to your feedback.

Being quick to respond to this you can tell I am a pawich.org addict! I am a previous resident of Parwich, intending to return. I visit about four times a year – not enough!! I currently live in Ayrshire,Scotland.
I read everything that is posted and only wish that there was a wider selection of people contributing to the blog. As you have so many hits, there must be lots of people who never pluck up the courage to put finger to keyboard. I don’t know how you can encourage more people from the village to have a go, but the small number of contributors is the only down side of an excellent blog.
I am also a parwich.org addict and logon everyday to check out the latest news. Isobel (10 months) particularly enjoys the photos and pictures.
I think that it is a wonderful tool to let people know what is going on around the village.
We’re going to leave this post at the top of the blog, until we get a few more replies! Normal service continues below…
I am away in Spain at the moment and I have to say I am enjoying checking the blog every day, it brings Parwich that little bit closer & I don´t feel that I am missing out on too much.
I also wish that more people would contribute to the blog, I know that lots of people read it regularly, maybe we are just too self conscious to do it. It certainly makes our lives easier when blogs do come in, it sometimes saves us from having to think up new things to include.
So think about sending in blog, that we can post or just add a comment now and again.
Hasta Luego (I´m trying to learn Spanish)
I think the site is great.
I’ve directed it to relatives in America, it makes them feel a bit more in touch with the English side of my life. So I know it has been viewed in Ohio, California, Iowa, Michigan and New York!
I don’t log on every day, but check it regularly to keep up with what is going on in the village.
I like Lynn’s idea of sharing prices we are paying for oil and would perhaps suggest we can do the same for logs, etc. Look out, Ralph Nader!!!
:o)
Hello from sunny Carolina Beach ,North Carolina, USA . I just love your site and look at it almost every day. My dear cousin,Alan ( Ben) Bennett and his wife Jane live in Parwich. I was able to visit Parwich for the first time in the summer of 2006 and was not disappointed. Do hope to come again in the future.
Hello: I’m related to the inhabitants of Rookery House and I live in London – but I visit Parwich regularly via the website and from time to time I visit via the train. I love the photos because I can picture a lot of the landscape… and I keep an eye on what’s happening – about twice a week. I’ll be visiting in person quite soon… hoping for blossom and lambs by then… H
