Yet again the ladies of Parwich (in the most flexible method of interpretation…) remain victorious in their conquest of the Leek Netball league. With Wendy swanning off to the sunshine, Olivia was drafted back onto the team but Jan seemed not to need any support in the D as she set a new 95% scoring record.
Ruth switched to GD and demonstrated her versatility as a player by totally dominating and intimidating the Moorlands GA. Post baby tummies were really on display in the defence with some wonderful leans being held to great effect. There was even sight of the odd tattoo…… New non shrinking tops are now being ordered to help us preserve our modesty!!
Sandra continues to defy the ageing process and runs around covering the court as though still a 6th former. She and the other Jan were making some wonderful lob passes into the shooters.
Moorlands WA was proving a problem for Nia as she was easily the nippiest player on the court. However Nia’s height and good ball marking ensured some useful interceptions.
With 2 matches left to play the girls/ladies are in a very strong position and have caused a few upsets in the usual pecking order.
