All this week, The Guardian has been running a series of pull-out supplements entitled “Great British Walks”. Today’s supplement, which is themed around castles and churches, contains a step-by-step description of a walk from Parwich to Bradbourne and Ballidon, intended to take ramblers past three churches of Norman origin. The guide also recommends that walkers recover afterwards at The Sycamore, while stocking up on their groceries.
Following a request from the newspaper, the article is illustrated with photos from two of our local snappers: a detailed view of the stained glass inside St Peter’s (taken by John F-S) and an exterior shot of Ballidon Church (taken by Kevin S). Congratulations to both, for landing such prestigious freelance commissions!
Full route instructions can be downloaded and printed via this page, although free registration is also required.
Update: The article is also available via the Guardian website.
