This little blue tit and his mate spend a couple of hours every morning tapping on our window panes. Does anyone know what that’s all about?
What’s that all about?

Its kissing its reflection whom it thinks is another blue tit.
Either they are requesting their breakfast, or just trying to wind your cats up.
They’re confusing their reflection in the window with a rival intruder on their territory, which they’re trying to see off by attacking it.
is he tapping the glass, or the wooden window frame? if it is the frame, he might be nibbling insects.
People used to talk about linseed oil in the putty attracting birds but I don’t know if there is any basis in fact in this.
I think he’s just trying to wind your cats up… or get some seeds for breakfast.
