At this very moment a car with a camera is driving around the village & its logo is Google. So are we now going to join other villages and towns on this somewhat controversial website?

I just saw the Google Street View car going up Creamery Lane.
It’s been in Ashbourne quite a bit and I contacted Google to see if they could let us know if and when we would be included in Street View, but they fobbed me off, claiming there were too many cars in too many places to confirm what was happening.
It’s interesting they’re circling a village though, this is the first I’ve heard.
I realise it’s a controversial one, should anyone have any opinions on this they’re welcome to call me at the News Telegraph on 01335 342847.
came past my house too!
Thank goodness we tidied up the roses over the weekend. I couldn’t have lived with the public humiliation. 😉
Sweet!! Know the feeling.
There are already a few photos of Parwich on Google Maps (e.g. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/8334833 ). There are a couple of views of the whole village, a view down the lane by Townhead House and another on the Green, though it seems to be hard work looking through all the Parwich photos as I kept getting whisked off to other villages.
There also have other options from the maps, including a link to a YouTude video clip of the Vicarage that Christopher had put on-line in the winter.
For a short clip from Google Street View on their privacy policy see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVvtii5j_d4
They say they will remove from the Street View photographs people, cars and even houses if requested. Obviously people need to know what is there in order to request it being removed.
I’d just like google maps to include my house, its been built 6 years but still doesn’t appear !!!
