Here’s another piece of lyricism from Bampton Churchyard in Somerset. It’s a memorial to the parish clerk’s son who was tragically struck by a falling icicle in 1776!!

Bless my iiiiii
Here he lies
In a sad pickle
Killed by an icicle

They don’t write ’em like that any more!
