Please keep the blog updated about the roads – of particular interest – A515, Alsop Rd, Bradbourne/Kniveton, Longcliffe.
8.30am
Alsop Road is slushy rather than icy. The A515 to Ashbourne and Buxton is OK, but take care especially with the fog.
Bradbourne to Ashbourne is also OK but with care.
Delighted to see that some of the worst potholes have been filled. Remember to ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533085 or 08456 058 058 to report any other potholes that you consider need urgent attention.

Andrew said Alsop Road was slushy snow this morning. He just managed to get enough momentum to get up the final rise to the A515.
The A515 itself towards Ashbourne was OK (but you still need to take care). As he set off early, I’m sure conditions will improve as the day goes on.
Bradbourne/Brackendale/Kniveton route ok this morning although care still needed as there is a dusting of snow from last night. Also, the fog is an added issue this morning.
Alsop Road OK and A515 to Buxton much better this morning. Fog is now the issue as the useable road width is narrow due to piled up snow, – consequently vehicles coming in opposite direction are much closer. Slow and steady (with full lights on) is still the solution.
Hi, does anyone know what it is like getting to Bakewell now, are the roads ok
No problems going to Hartington (via Alsop) this afternoon. Spoke to someone who went up the Dale road; it was just passable but hard work.
The gritted roads are continuing to clear, but watch out if it freezes again tonight.
They seem to have filled some of the potholes along the Alsop road this morning.
