One of our readers expressed concern about the duck, now all alone at the Dam. Given PARWICH.ORG’s success matching up guinea pigs, do any other readers have any suggestions?

hi there
the duck in question spends alot of time on my orchard pond, and he has a female duck friend he shares with another drake
terry
Scandalous!
cherry sauce?
In my view it was a panic response to ruin the pond by pulling out all the irises after the village flooding. Their existence made no difference to the liability to flooding while the pond has been rendered unattractive to wild life and the people who want to watch it. Bring back the pond plants and the ducks and coots will inhabit the place once again, giving joy to many village folk and making the village more attractive. Stalking between these plants, birds would once again have privacy and security and somewhere to breed. Remember those baby coots? If there is now one lonely duck, it is our fault and the parish council can put it right with minor expenditure.
The pond was designed to be able to be cleared out as required. It has a concrete base.
The plants previously in the pond were planted into soil in hessian sacks. I understand this was done by private individuals on a voluntary basis. Presumably the Parish Council would welcome any individuals who are happy to do this again.
There are still plenty of iris in the pond and they multiply very quickly. The disappearance of the penultimate duck was attributable to an unfortunate RTA. You’ll be pleased to hear it didn’t go to waste!
There is a lonely crow near Pikehall looking for good times. GSOH, NS, into water sports and looking for a possible long term relationship.
WTLM, LTR, VGL, looking for TLC but not into BSDM, ACA.
How does Roberto know the acronyms for lonely heart ads?
