Is it still possible to cycle round the roadworks? Useful as shortcut to Ashbourne
No it is impossible.
I’m so desperate to get our road back. We should have a coronation / jubilee style street party along the road when we get it back. Lots of plastic union jacks, very long tables and jelly with tinned fruit in paper bowls. The A52s could re-name themselves as the B5056s for the day and play songs from yesteryear.
Lynne, what a great idea! I can’t believe how much more difficult life has been without that road.
Let’s celebrate in style!
The A52s would be up for it Lynne! We just need a 1 million watt generator to power the amps and smoke machine.
And how about a couple of feet of artificial snow?
Sunsay 31st January
They are getting on with the piling at the landslip. I guess that 4 are concreted already. Perhaps the end of May as the completion date may be possible?
