Last year Parwich First Responders organised training for all interested parties in how to care for children in life-threatening situations. They are keen to organise more such training if there is sufficient interest:
Do you want another visit by ALAN GIBSON, CONSULTANT NEONATOLOGIST (children’s doctor in charge of new born baby unit) of Sheffield Hospitals?
It is now a year since Alan and his team came to the village to teach us about how to care for infants and children that we found in a life-threatening situation, e.g. unconsciousness, fits, drowning, electrocution, head injury.
We have recently been in touch with him and he would very much like to visit our village again. He is willing to come with his team, for as long as we wish, whenever we wish and to teach whatever we wish! So long as we can organize some dates for him.
So this note is just to let you know of his offer.
- Now there are so many new children in the village, perhaps there could be some training for those who have not been to his training before?
- Also perhaps some teaching for the partners of those who came last time?
- Maybe there are some people who could not make our last date?
- And of course there are those of us who may have attended last time but would like a refresher session?
As before he is happy to teach anyone – those with direct care of children, those who come across children in their working lives, and of course grandparents etc., who may take care of children.
Could you please contact us and let us know if you are interested, and which group you fit into. When we know what you want we will go back to Alan and try to arrange some suitable dates.
Take care.
