The comment that Cheryl put on yesterday about the mud that has been dragged onto the road is true, but fortunately the weather so far has not made an adverse impact.
The good news is that Derbyshire County Council have been along the Alsop Road filling many of the deepest edges with chatter. True, it does look a bit of a mess, but at least we won’t have to hold our breath whilst pulling over for other vehicles: wondering how deep the holes are and the danger to our tyres.
Tuesday 9.30pm – Having just driven back from Kniveton, snow is settling on the roads. Please take care in the morning. Hopefully the temperature will have warmed up and the snow will have gone, but in places it is wet, so this could present an additional problem with ice. Keep the blog up to date.
