Colin Beesley is doing a 10km run at Larwood, Worksop on 9th May to raise money for an all terrain wheelchair for our friend’s nephew Benjamin. Benjamin is 10 years old. He suffers form Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a chronic degenerative disorder that occurs in about 1 in 3500 male births. Benjamin can still walk short distances but for anything else he needs a wheelchair. His NHS one will only operate on smooth flat surfaces which rules out a lot of the activites he still enjoys.
